Titanium Ti6Al4V BT9/TC11 TC18 Thick Wall Tube Logging Tools

Titanium TC4, BT9/TC11, TC18 thick wall tube mainly used for Onshore Oil Logging tools.

The nominal composition of TC11 titanium alloy is Ti-6.5Al-3.5Mo-1.5Zr-0.3Si, is a kind of α-β type titanium alloy heat resistant titanium alloy, aluminum equivalent is 3.5, molybdenum equivalent is 7.3.The alloy also has good thermal processing properties (including conventional process properties and superplasticity), and can be welded and machined in various ways.β-heat treatment and isothermal forging of the alloy have been developed rapidly.

The alloy is also sensitive to hot salt stress corrosion.

The alloy is mainly used in the manufacture of compressor disc, blade, drum and other parts of aero engine, and can also be used in the manufacture of aircraft structural parts.The maximum long-term working temperature of the alloy is 500℃ by thermal deformation and heat treatment in α-β zone.The semi-finished products are bars, forgings and die forgings.

TC11 titanium alloy is a kind of high temperature titanium alloy widely used in China. The maximum service temperature is 500℃. It is mainly used in aero-engine compressor parts, such as blades, plates, drums and shafts, etc.It can also be made into special-shaped castings. The working conditions of the parts are as follows: in the annealing state, it can be used for 500℃ below 500 hours and 550℃ below 100 hours and 450℃ below 1000 hours. In the strengthening treatment state, it can be used for 500℃ below 100 hours of work and 700℃ below one-time work parts.

TC18 titanium alloy is a kind of high strength titanium alloy developed by the Russian Institute of Aeronautical Materials in the 1960s. In Russia, the corresponding alloy grade is BT22.The nominal composition of TC18 titanium alloy is Ti-5Al-5Mo-5V-1Cr-1Fe, with Al equivalent of 5.0% and Mo equivalent of 11.76% in nominal composition.

The chemical composition of TC18 titanium alloy specified in GB/T3620.1 Titanium and Titanium Alloy Grades and Chemical Composition is shown in Table 1.The microstructure of the alloy under annealing condition has approximately equal amount of α phase and β phase, which is the highest strength titanium alloy under annealing condition.TC18 titanium alloy can be welded by various welding methods and has good welding properties after annealing.The highest long-term working temperature of the alloy is 400℃.

TC18 alloy can be quenched section thickness up to 250mm, especially suitable for the manufacture of aircraft fuselage and landing gear of large load-bearing structures, in aircraft structure TC18 titanium alloy instead of high strength steel or Ti6Al4V alloy, weight can be reduced by 15%~20%.The alloy is usually used under double annealing and can also be strengthened by solution aging. The main semi-finished products include plates, bars, pipes, fasteners, extruded profiles and forgings.
